WELCOME TO JOURNEYDANCE™ WITH
June 11th at Blackbird Wellness (Morrisville, VT): JourneyDance Community Class Stay tuned to the Blackbird Wellness VT calendar for updates about JourneyDance Summer Series!
JourneyDance is by far the most powerful healing modality I've ever encountered - and I've explored many! I am able to come back home to my body... reestablish connection with myself, the earth, and the divine... give myself permission to get silly, weird, and wild... tell my story through movement... do deep inner work... let my heart and spirit express and receive... all in the presence of a safe and loving community. When I'm in the JourneyDance flow I feel so alive and so connected. I'm tapped into the most vital parts of me, and I feel clearer and connected about the next steps I need to take in this divine adventure called life. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to share this beautiful and wild practice with the world. I hope to see you on the dance floor soon!
Ali is a certified JourneyDance Guide, a certified Let Your Yoga Dance Instructor, and is soon to be a certified Holistic Health Coach. Ali holds a Masters of Science in Teaching and a BA with majors in Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Sociology. Ali has been teaching for 15 years, and she's been practicing yoga, meditation, martial arts, and conscious dance since she was a teenager. Ali has taught hundreds of students and teachers over the course of her career as an educator. She began professionally teaching in the Bronx at the raw age of 22, helped to found two schools in New York City, and founded and grew a history program across 34 schools in three states. She now consults and coaches educators across the country. Ali founded her own business in 2015, All of Us LLC. All of Us is grounded in the belief that "None of us is free until we are all free" and the bodhisattva's vow to compassionately end suffering in oneself and the world. Ali's work through All of Us is dedicated to cultivating wholeness within ourselves by reintegrating the parts of ourselves that we may have abandoned or disowned in order to survive; renewing connection within communities by bringing people together in safe and sacred communion through mindful movement and dialogue; and catalyzing positive change in the world by supporting our educators in transforming schools into places where students are empowered and inspired each and every day. Ali lives in beautiful northern Vermont with her husband and their ragtag family of adopted animals. She has one foot firmly planted in her Vermont community through her JourneyDance teaching and transformative coaching work; she also has roots in communities around the country where she works with teachers and students to rethink and transform the educational experience for learners of all ages.
