Licensing Packages
Upon graduation from Teacher Training Module 1, you receive a free License to teach JourneyDance™ for one year or until June 1, whichever is sooner.
If you are unable to teach, you may take a sabbatical and Re-license on a future June 1 with no penalty.
On June 1 following your graduation and each year thereafter, we require an Annual Licensing Fee, prorated based on your graduation date, and available in one of three Packages.
$95. Funky Package. For those who want a basic License.
$250. Power Package. Similar to the 2008-09 Licensing package, with some new options.
$350. Bliss Package. An expanded package for those who are committed to JourneyDance™ as part of their livelihood. Only available on June 1 twelve months or more after your graduation date.

Licensing Benefits
A. Teaching Tools
1. Concepts, qualities & choreographies. Your yearly license gives you permission to teach JourneyDance™, with these items at the heart of what JourneyDance™ is.
2. Toni's affirmation calendar. A new item in 2010 designed to help Teachers stay focused on increasing gratitude throughout the year.
3. Class reflection forms. A new item in 2010 designed to help new Teachers analyze and improve their teaching.
4. Toni's mindbusting worksheet. A new item in 2010 designed to help new Teachers continue the mindbusting process at home with an eye to increasing positivity.
5. 4 videos of choreographies + 4 songs. Each year, Toni endeavors to create new material for your use. Those who opt for the Power or Bliss Package will have access to the online CJDT Command Center on the JourneyDance™ website, where they can download music and watch videos. We ask that no one download or propagate the online videos. They are meant only for members of the JourneyDance™ Association, and help to distinguish JourneyDance™ from other forms.
B. Professional Tools
1. Basic weblisting. Non-clickable, non-editable. 1 image upload, automatically resized. (see below for example)
2. Editable mini-site. Clickable, editable. 1 image upload, automatically resized.
When clicked, expanded form appears. Unlimited text area. Limited text formatting. Includes form mailer.
When form mailer is clicked, the page below appears. Querent must enter personal info and solve a puzzle to prove they are human, not a Spam-bot. Form mailer automatically sends email to an assignable email account.
3. Featured weblisting. Automatically appears on the "Find a Teacher" default search page, directly below the search field. Will be sorted alphabetically by name (at the moment, sorted geographically)
4. Email account. With an eye toward professional uniformity, we can offer a limited number of email accounts of this format:
[firstname][last initial]@journeydance.com e.g. tonib@journeydance.com
If we have already assigned your name and initial to another Teacher, we would be open to other possibilities. (Jennifers, be alert!)
C. Marketing Tools
1. 6x8 promotional cards. In 2010 we need to pass along our printing costs as well as postage. The cards are heavy!
2. Trademark & logo. Part of the Licensing agreement and good for branding. Use the logo! It's downloadable from the online CJDT Command Center at the JourneyDance™ website. Legally, your annual License:
• Provides legal permission to reprint the JourneyDance™ name, mark and logo for the purposes of professionally sharing the JourneyDance™ body of work, including JourneyDance™ choreographies, qualities and concepts in classes, workshops and presentations.
• Provides legal permission to teach any and all JourneyDance™ programs appropriate to the level of Training you have received.
• Includes permission to refer to yourself as a "JourneyDance™ Teacher".
• Does not include permission to produce, manufacture and/or design products using the JourneyDance™ name, logo and mark.
• Does not include permission to register a web domain, blogspot, or business entity that includes the JourneyDance™ name or a name very similar to it. Contact us for details about regional web domains.
3. Graphics & text. Toni has spent lots of money on graphic design, and is pleased to let you use her templates, since it's good for branding. They're downloadable from the online CJDT Command Center at the JourneyDance™ website.
D. Toni's monthly e-blasts. ~5,000 email database concentrated in the Northeast, and expanding in other regions.
1. Basic class listing. Let Root know the postal address of your venue and he will add you to the online Google Map. The basic listings are links to the Map, which in turn links to your listing on the JourneyDance™ website. Root also makes sure your name is in the e-blast under each State/Province/Nation where you are teaching. Names are listed alphabetically, States/Provinces/Nations are listed alphabetically.
2. Featured event listing. 50-word maximum (may be edited for space), text must be JourneyDance™ related, maximum 1 image (will be made small for space), maximum 2 hyperlinks to either a URL (web address) or an email account. Listing will appear tall in the sidebar on the left, like Tara's below.
3. Meet The Teacher listing. 100-word maximum, text may be on any subject, maximum 1 image (will be made small for space), maximum 2 hyperlinks to either a URL (web address) or an email account. Listing will appear in the main body of the e-blast toward the bottom. If you are clever with image editing (like Root is) you can merge several images into one. One-time only for all Teachers.
E. Merchandise for Re-sale
1. AudioClass CD. 5-piece minimum. CDs have been retailing for $19 each, so we offer them at $10 each.
2. Greeting Cards. Two 10-card sets minimum. Cards can be retailed individually for $3 each. 10-card sets retail for $19. Sets can be an assortment or 10 of one style.
3. Dance Scarves. If we get inquiries about scarves, we will make an effort to acquire more of them. We offer a 7-piece set of the seven colors of the chakras.
4. Clothing. We make small runs of limited styles and colors. Your preferred item may be discontinued. We work with what is in stock and what is on order. Contact us for details.
F. Toni's events
1. Select events of Toni's. At most urban venues we allow Teachers to attend Toni's events for free if they bring 1 or 2 paying friends. Generally this does not apply to Trainings, or to retreat center events.
2. Assistantships. Preferences are based on number of participants, venue, Teacher's skillset, and Teacher's investment in JourneyDance™.
G. Professional Support
1. Online networks. JourneyDance™ Teachers have a growing online commmunity on Facebook, LinkedIn, a Google group, a Yahoo group, and a planned Teacher's Forum on the website.
2. Scholarship Fund. $2 of each Licensing Fee is earmarked as a contribution to the Teacher Training Scholarship Fund. Please contact us if you would like to contribute more to this fund. A limited number of Scholarships are awarded each year, based on need, availability, distance, and a written description.
3. Phone consults with Toni. Limited to a total of 60 minutes each year, preferably spaced into three 20-minute sessions.
4. Insurance. If we get inquiries about group insurance, we will make an effort to acquire it.
H. Marketing Support
1. Facebook event. The yet-to-materialize JourneyDance™ Facebook manager will publicize your event via Facebook to all JourneyDance™ fans.
2. Facebook mention. The yet-to-materialize JourneyDance™ Facebook manager will mention you via Facebook to all JourneyDance™ fans.
3. Placement at retreat centers. Omega, Esalen, & Kripalu offer regular movement classes and sometimes ask us to find Teachers for them. A limited number of Teachers can fill these positions each year. We will give preference to those who purchase the Bliss Package.
4. Referrals as a representative. Toni is sometimes invited but unable to teach at certain events. We will refer those who purchase the Bliss package as a substitute for Toni (is it possible?) and a representative of JourneyDance™. Representatives may also be selected more often, featured more often, and sold more often, using the same marketing team that supports Toni.
