Lorena Norwood became a Certified Journey Dance Facilitator on May 12, 2013 after a 9 month journey through Module 1, 2, and 3 Teacher Training. She has been teaching weekly Journey Dance classes since August of 2012. Lorena’s joy and enthusiasm for Journey Dance is based upon her own exploration into what it means to move from living in the mind into living in the full self; body, mind, spirit, and source energy. Lorena’s work experience in the field of trauma informed practice adds another layer of safety for those who have experiences of discomfort with their bodies and self image. Women of all ages, sizes, and dance experience join together weekly. Lorena has found self love, safety, joy and peace through JourneyDance and uses her experience to move others through the practice of finding and understanding the beauty, energy and creativity that lives within each of us.
