Journey Dance found me as only the best things can; completely unprepared and unsuspecting. As an artist and storyteller I fell instantly in love with the narrative, the passion, and the joy of what my own heart and body wish to do, once I got out of the way. But it was so much bigger then that. I could see all around me a room full of heart-song’s, so many beautiful dancers, each uniquely in sync with the same universal dance.
I have found so many things through JourneyDance, be it a means of expression, a sacred space, or just my own daily adventure. But what I have enjoyed most is how I found myself, spinning and twisting and laughing at the very center of it all. It’s a wonderful feeling to know oneself and that the world is full of love, when you’re ready to dance with it.
I knew from the very first dance that I had found something special, and I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to be a part of something that reminded us all how pure is our own dance, how perfectly we sing, and how complete we can be once we step back and simply allow ourselves to shine.
